Anna B Labykina

A native of Russia, Anna has made New England her home for three decades before making a huge move to the Pacific NorthWest.  She is currently the Director of Production at Portland Opera (Oregon).  Previously, Anna has worked in a variety of roles as a Production Manager and/or Technical Director at Colgate University, Boston Lyric Opera, The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Tufts University and Salem State University. 

 

When not solving technical issues, creating budgets, teaching students or upholstering furniture for fun, Anna has served as a technical advisor for a multitude of projects in Boston and NYC, including KrymovLAB NYC, SpeakEasy Stage Company and Opera Boston.  Previous scenic design credits include Fauna, Waiting for Godot, The Skin of Our Teeth, Four One Acts by David Ives, The Music Man, Showboat, Chess, The Who’s Tommy, Assassins, Hair, WANDERLUST, Throws Like a Girl and  Neurasthenia.

 

She holds a BA in Theatre from Mount Holyoke College and an MFA in Theatre Technology from University of Texas at Austin.
